Sherman Library & Gardens is in the middle of a renovation timed to its 60th anniversary year, and the new farm-to-table restaurant partner the garden announced will not open until fall 2027.

That is a long stretch for a village this size to go without one of its few indoor, sit-down anchors. Farmhouse at Rogers Gardens, Rothschild's, and Five Crowns remain the restaurants locals point to for "best ambiance" in the village, and the latter two show up on the Third Thursday roster every time rather than treating it as a one-off promotion. That consistency matters more than any single event listing. It means the fallback plan isn't a one-time pop-up, it's a pattern you can build a routine around for as long as the garden stays under construction.

December Still Belongs to the Christmas Walk

The one fixture that hasn't moved is the Corona del Mar Christmas Walk, scheduled for December 6, 2026, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. It's the event that closes out the calendar year in the village regardless of what else is under construction, and it draws from the same base of Chamber-affiliated businesses that show up for Third Thursdays.
